To inform the Ministerial Review of the Advisory Appointment Committee system for consultant appointments, an independent research project into best practice in senior medical recruitment was undertaken in summer 2007 by Work Psychology Partnership. The objectives of the project were to review the current appointments process for consultant recruitment in Scotland and consider the findings in relation to best practice selection and recruitment practices.
