Use of Fixed-Term Contracts within NHSScotland PIN Policy [Health and Community Care]

This NHSScotland PIN Policy aims to ensure that fixed-term contracts are only used where necessary and appropriate, and that (unless objectively justified) those employed on fixed-term contracts are treated no less favourably than permanent employees. PIN Policies are developed nationally in partnership between NHSScotland employers, trade unions/professional organisations and Scottish Government. They set a minimum standard which Boards' local employment policies must either meet or exceed.
