Scottish Government

The Scottish Government is responsible for ensuring that all the necessary legislative measures are taken to ensure compliance with the requirements set out by the Commonwealth Games Federation.

The Government is also responsible for ensuring delivery of major infrastructure projects already planned, and for the security of the Games. We work closely with Commonwealth Games delivery partners on the Games: Glasgow 2014 Ltd (the Organising Committee), Glasgow City Council, Commonwealth Games Scotland and have entered into a number of agreements with them to ensure the success of the Games.
