The Certification Register is the only source of information on Approved Certifiers and Approved Bodies in Scotland.
The Register provides search facilities to help you find and contact an Approved Body that offers certification services in your local authority area. The current registration status of known firms can also be checked. When contact is made, the Certification Co-ordinator at the firm identifies an appropriate Approved Certifier for the project.
Local authority verifiers use the register to check validity of a certificate when submitted to them in support of either a Building Warrant application or a Completion Certificate. The verifier also checks the registration status of the Approved Certifier of Construction when a notice of intent to use certification at completion is received.
