Several grant mechanisms are available under the Scottish Government's Affordable Housing Investment Programme. These grants are subject to available funds and locally determined priorities. In some cases, particularly for individual house buyers, assistance from the Scottish Government takes the form of an interest-free equity loan rather than grant assistance
