Local housing need and affordability model for Scotland (2003) | Communities Scotland commissioned work to provide an update of affordable housing needs estimates to the year 2001 at a national and local authority area to assist housing strategy development. Due to the timing of the release ofrelevant data and the impending completion of local authorities' Local Housing Strategy (LHS), this work was split into two phases. This report is the result ofthe first phase using existing data sources and making initial projections to2006. The intended use of the output in this phase was to provide a set offigures by which local authorities can compare their own housing needs estimates.
