Scotland's Devolved National Public Bodies
Public Bodies play an important role in the delivery of public services in Scotland making a significant contribution to delivery of the Scottish Government's national outcomes and objectives set out in the National Performance Framework (NPF).
In October 2007, the Scottish Government published a baseline list of Scotland's devolved national public bodies as part of its Simplification Programme. The baseline list sets out the full range of national public bodies which are the devolved responsibility of the Scottish Government, and the focus of attention in relation to a number of linked programmes and initiatives aimed at delivering continuous improvement in public services.
