The Quality and Efficiency Support Team (QuEST)
QuEST is a team of specialists who have particular experience in priority workstreams and work in partnership across the SGHD.
The team supports the delivery of quality and efficiency within NHSScotland by co ordinating the implementation of the NHS Efficiency and Productivity Framework, providing support to NHS Boards through benchmarking, data development and its associated toolkits.
We focus on high-volume, high-cost services and key priority areas, identify and test innovations which could lead to improved levels of performance as well as assisting NHS Boards to assess the impact of redesign on the workforce, the impact of workforce changes on service redesign and provide support to NHS Boards who may require additional help to identify and release efficiencies or where performance challenges are identified.
This is achieved by developing capacity and capability for continuous improvement by adopting technical and behavioural change management to support clinical systems improvement and service innovation.

The NHSScotland Quality Improvement Hub is a national collaboration developed to suppport NHS boards achieve the aim of the Healthcare Quality Strategy - "to deliver the highest quality healthcare services to people in Scotland". The Quality Improvement Hub website provides a range of resources to support organisations improve the quality of health and care in Scotland.
