The Best. Dressed.
NHSScotland staff work in challenging roles, delivering a first-class service to the people of Scotland. Our staff deserve a uniform that's fit for the demanding job they do, but research and feedback from staff has shown that the existing uniforms are of variable quality.
The new uniform, which has been specifically designed for NHSScotland, is manufactured in a lighter, more comfortable fabric. The material, specially formulated for the uniform, is cool enough for the hospital environment and it stretches to allow freedom of movement. An improved style and fit makes the uniform more appropriate for all manual handling needs.
The National Uniform for most staff groups is now available to order and NHSScotland Boards will manage their own process for phasing in the new uniform. All NHSScotland staff who currently wear a uniform will be required to wear the new uniform by the end of 2012.
