Stakeholder Engagement
The Scrutiny Bodies Project Team have engaged with the exisiting bodies and their stakeholders by attending meetings, seminars and other consultation events. Our six-weekly bulletin also keeps stakeholders informed about progress with the project. This engagement has allowed proposals for legislative change and for business change to be tested as thoroughly as possible, to date. We wll continue to engage with all stakeholders as proposals develop.

Public Event

The Scrutiny Bodies Project Team held a conference in June 2009, to communicate the background to the changes on how health, care and social work services will be inspected from April 2011. The conference was aimed at equality groups and people who use the affected services. The event included workshops facilitated by members of HMIE, NHS QIS, SWIA and the Care Commission, a keynote speech by the Project Director from the Scrutiny Bodies Project Team and a question and answer session with the Chief Executives from the current scrutiny organisations.
A summary of the event outlines the outcomes from the workshops and the question and answer session. This includes a collection of cartoons that were drawn on the day to illustrate some of the main issues raised (example shown right).
A pdf and web version of the summary is available by clicking here. The project team has a limited number of paper copies of the summary, if you would like to request one of these please contact the team either through e-mail at NSB2011@scotland.gsi.gov.uk or by phone on 0131 244 1707.
