Police Strength

As at 31 December 2011, there were 17,343 police officers (full-time equivalent) in Scotland. Police officer numbers have increased by 78 full-time equivalent (FTE) officers (0.5%) in the last quarter, from 30 September 2011, and increased by 126 (0.7%) in the last year, from 31 December 2010.
